We Interrupt This Program
I’ve been debating for a while whether or not to share some information with the internets, but today I decided that, since it’s official, I can “go public”, at least a little bit. Deep breath. Here goes:
Kevin and I are having a baby. Some of you may know that I’ve had some struggles with fertility, and as such, we have decided that adoption is the best course for us. That’s right: no epidurals or episiotomies for me! Seriously, though….I’m not planning on discussing it here, but today, I’m just too excited to keep it in. I can’t say when, exactly, we will be able to bring our little angel home, but I can say that we’re both over the moon about expanding our family.
Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Wait… when did all this happen?!?!?!
I’m not very smart. I’m certainly not the best looking guy (even in a very small crowd). I’m not filthy rich. But I am married to the most amazing woman in the whole world. And now, I’ll get to watch her raise our daughter. So, in the end, I guess that makes me the luckiest guy in the world, and I’ll thank God for that the rest of my life.

No fair! I have on fresh eye makeup including mascara and now I’m getting a little misty-eyed (especially after reading Kevin’s comment). Congratulations!

You mean someone decided that y’all would make good parents?! Seriously, I’m really excited for y’all. I can’t wait to meet her, so I’ll be sitting idly by the phone till the day you call and say we can come visit/hold her. I wish we were still next door so that she and G could grow up together, but they’ll just have to grow up visiting one another every other month or so.
