I haven't seen your Fla to-do list, but I've not heard you talk about going to the dog track. Wanna go? I don't care to bet, I just want to watch the greyhounds run wide open! It's one thing that has been on our list and never done.

You can always say you're from Texas. Most people here aren't actually from Orlando. We're all transplants.

Glad you're settling in and enjoying it. But for now if someone says, <i>"Where are you from</i>", you can say you just moved here from Texas (which any Texan can tell you, and you well know, what a proud feeling you probably get by being able to say that). Whatcha gonna do when you can't say that anymore? heh? Don't get too comfy over there b/c one day you're going to be moving in across the dirt road from me so we can resume our Coopahue Saturday nights!

It took me almost a year and a half before I stopped feeling like a tourist in Southern California. I suppose that issue is exacerbated by the fact that I spent a lot of time seeing and doing all the touristy things there are to do in the region because I had never done them before. Though I am proud to be from Texas and consider myself a Texan, it is now Texas, and San Diego is home.

In a lot of ways, it still really feels like we're just visiting. Florida doesn't feel like "home" just yet - and it may never feel that way. I think I will always think of "home" as Texas.
